They wanted it by 4.

The beats were laid down quickly, although we realised that the loop on the record is is a strange number of bars. The loop never actually repeats itself from the start, and so most of the bars miss their downbeat. Very strange - this one had us sweating.

The only solution was to record some guide vocals quickly to work out the song structure.

We reckon John Squire is one of the best guitarists this country has ever produced - were we able to play like the flop haired master?

Well.. no - but after careful scrutiny of his parts we realised they're not all that difficult. So.. a bit of wah-wah guitar then. We took each section's riffs and played them 4 times to build up a fatter guitar part.

Bass - no problem.

Even the mix came together in record time, and sounded brilliant :) We finsihed mastering it at 4pm exactly.

Thats how we did Fools Gold in a day.

The results can be found here http://www.trackfish.com

Expanding the catalogue

We have been working hard over the summer to expand on our online catalogue. We now have some 500 tracks.

As always we produce custom made backing tracks of any music that is required.

Trackfish have also been approached by several publishers with a view to licensing our backing tracks as karaoke CDs worldwide. People are beginning to acknowledge our tracks as the best on the web, and soon they will be available at all good record stores.

We are continuing to provide music for mobile media. We produce full cover version tracks that we license for ringtones and media downloads.

Please contact us if you would like anymore details.

http://www.trackfish.com

New titles added to catalogue

We have been very busy over the last month or so putting together many custom tracks.

These new titles will be added to the catalogue

Holding Out For A Hero (Shrek2) - Jennifer Saunders

My Prayer - The Platters

There's That Smile Again - Jim Reeves

Beautiful - Christina Aguilera

They can all be found at http://www.trackfish.com
